The Adesua E-Learning Child Project seeks to provide convenient and efficient learning to primary/ basic school children in rural Ghana, between the ages of 5 years to 13 years through the use of digital technology devices such as tablets. The devices will function both offline (thus useful to children living in remote areas with poor or no internet connectivity) and will also come with an installed solar cell battery (thus useful to children living in areas with poor or no electricity). The platform itself will be a built in application software containing the current educational curriculum approved by the Ghana Education Service. Teachers can upload notes, class exercises and assignments unto the platform for students to work on and submit. The application will also include a sign up feature where students and teachers will have a personal profile that shows a summary of their learning and teaching activities respectively as well as progress made on class assignments, notes, learner activity and self-assessment tasks to help develop late bloomer students. “Adesua” is an Akan word which translates into “Learning” in the English Language.
